Meet Arlyn Reid's talent
Laura Reid, CRC, CHRP, Partner & Senior HR Advisor
Laura has over 20 years experience in the HR profession, for both legal and corporate clients. Her expertise includes HR management, mediation and training. Her formal education is in Business Administration together with training in mediation and negotiation. Laura is a private HR advisor for a number of professional service firms, and is known for helping resolve tough issues. In addition to general and executive recruiting, Laura manages our HR consulting, training and mediation division.
Stephen Danvers, Partner & Senior HR Advisor
With over 20 years in the people management business and several years in legal recruiting, Stephen’s expertise is focused on corporate and legal clients. Stephen has a formal education in Business Administration and strong marketing and management skills. Stephen also heads up the Talent Group and manages some of our local actors.
Phil Baudin, Senior Consultant
Phil has over 20 years in corporate and legal management, and currently has a busy consulting practice that focuses on training and coaching professionals in marketing. He received his BComm from the University of Manitoba. Phil is involved in our Executive/Lawyer Search Division and works with placing managers and professionals for our corporate and legal clients.
Gail Pearce, Business Consultant
Gail brings with her a B.A. and a number of diplomas and certifications, not to mention an extensive background, both academically and vocationally. Her unbridled enthusiasm and positive energy only make us even more fun to work with. Gail will focus mainly on building relationships, strategic planning, marketing, corporate clients and will be leading the charge as our top corporate recruiter.
Kathy Slocombe, HR Advisor
Kathy has 20 years of experience in the HR profession, for both legal and corporate clients. Her expertise includes HR Management, Recruiting and Training. Her formal education as a Law Clerk and ongoing professional development in Human Resources and her hands on experience of managing in the legal and IT sectors bring a practical approach for her clients. Kathy is a Senior Advisor with our legal division and assists both legal and corporate firms with their HR consulting and recruiting needs.
Jean Chose, Senior HR Advisor
We are pleased to announce that Jean Chose has joined Arlyn Reid as a Senior HR Advisor. Jean brings with her over 20 years experience in human resources/labour relations with the past 8 years spent in legal/HR temp and perm recruiting. Her practical experience combined with her formal training through BCIT and a number of labour relations and dispute resolution courses has provided her with invaluable expertise for our clients. Jean has experience in both the private and public sector. In her new role with Arlyn Reid, Jean will be assisting clients with a number of their HR requirements and will be managing the temporary division for corporate and legal temps. Jean is also an accomplished artist in her own right.
Franca Pitassi, HR Advisor/ Temporary Division Manager
Franca has worked in the legal field for 12 years. Her background has included managing the day-to-day staffing for legal assistants. Franca assists the recruiting division and is responsible for our temporary secretarial and administrative division.
Raj Dhasi, Training & Professional Development Manager
Raj brings with her an M.A. in Organizational Conflict Analysis and Management, and a wealth of experience in professional conflict resolution. Throughout her career, Raj has helped organizations to shift difficult situations into opportunities for growth. She specializes in strengthening people and organizations through training, mediation, group facilitation, and performance coaching. Raj’s genuine warmth and expertise make her a perfect fit for the Arlyn Reid team. She is leading our ever-expanding training and mediation division.
Diane Cronk, HR Advisor
Prior to joining Arlyn Reid, Diane gained 20 years of experience working in law firms, beginning her career as a legal secretary. Diane is a graduate of the HR program at BCIT and has her Degree in Psychology from SFU. Diane brings a practical and insightful ability to match candidates to the right positions. In addition to recruiting, Diane also works as an HR consultant for our clients and is responsible for marketing and communications for candidates.
Holly Cunliffe, HR Assistant
Holly Cunliffe originates from Coventry, England. She completed her B.A. in Psychology at McGill University. Holly will be pursuing her MA/PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in the fall of 2009. In the meantime, Holly joined Arlyn Reid bringing with her a great insight on research in HR and assists Laura Reid on HR Consulting. In addition, Holly does our payroll and accounting, and assists with all aspects of Recruiting, including Corporate, Legal and Temporary.
Paul Rushton, Marketing Coordinator
Paul Rushton was born and raised in Vancouver, and has completed a B.A. in Political Science at Simon Fraser University and an M.A. in International Peace and Conflict Studies at the United Nations University for Peace. He spearheads Arlyn Reid's marketing efforts in print and online. In addition he provides Recruiting support to our Corporate and Legal Team.
Aman Dhesi, HR Assistant
Arlyn Reid is proud to welcome Aman Dhesi to our team as a Recruitment Assistant to our busy Corporate Division. Aman has a B.A. in History from UBC and is currently working towards his Human Resource Management certificate at BCIT. He has a strong background in customer service and nearly four years of management experience.
Vanessa Smith, HR Assistant
Vanessa is the newest member of the Arlyn Reid team, and she provides a wide variety of support services to our busy Legal and Corporate Divisions. She has a solid professional background in customer service and team management, and she holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of British Columbia. During her undergraduate career, Vanessa also served a one year tenure as Assistant Coordinator of Job Link, the university's student-run employment centre. Vanessa plans to enrol in BCIT's Human Resource Management program in the fall of 2008.
